New to racing? Good. This league should feel approachable, organised, and worth turning up for. We’ll help ensure your first night feels manageable rather than intimidating.

Step 1

Get the basics ready

  • • A roadworthy bike and helmet are mandatory
  • • A British Cycling License and Membership - see https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/bc/membership for more details
  • • Arrive early for sign-on, numbers, and briefing
  • • Tell us you’re new so we can help/guide as necessary
Step 2

Enter the race

Entries are handled through British Cycling. Search for “Lotus” to find upcoming rounds and secure your place.

Race night timings

What to expect on the night

Arrive early, sign on in time, and listen for announcements. Youth racing runs first, followed by senior categories.

General
  • 18:00 — Site access
  • 18:15–19:15 — Sign-on open
  • 21:00 — Site closes
Youth racing
  • 18:15–18:40 — Gear check
  • 18:40 — Sign-on closes (priority earlier)
  • 18:45 — All youth races start
  • 19:10 (approx.) — Youth races finish
Senior racing
  • 18:45-18:55 (approx 50m.) — 4th Cat Go-Race
  • 19:30-20:30 (approx 1h.) — E1/2/3/4 race
  • 19:31-20:21 (approx 50m.) — 40+, 50+, 60+ race
